Tara L. Thompson has always had a passion for writing and knew that this was her calling. She began her journey as a writer at a very young age writing poems and sharing them with family and friends. Her first published poem was on the back of her grandmother’s obituary. In that poem, she shared her love and loss for her grandmother. Since then she has written four more poems that have been used on obituaries. 

     

Her debut novel Before I Say I Do, was released in the spring of 2014, followed by the sequel Divided Souls published in 2015. Although her novels are fiction, her roles as a daughter, sister, mother and friend are reflected throughout her work. Her third novel, Clara's Curse, was released in 2021, explores the cycle of generational curses.

In 2019, Tara received the prestigious Queen City Author of The Year award honoring her for her work as a writer and influencer.

 

When Tara is not writing she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Sydney.
